HEADSHOT SESSIONS WITH JAMES CICCONE

James offers a unique headshot experience tailored for serious actors. Each session is held at our state-of-the-art studio located at 307 W 38th St, Suite 1503. The space features 11-foot ceilings, a full wall of windows for optional natural light, a terrace for outdoor shots, and a full suite of professional-grade equipment. The goal: to create headshots that reflect your range, essence, and readiness for screen work. Our end goal is to get you on TV. 

It’s no surprise that dozens of actors from James’s community are now appearing on television after working with him. While a headshot won’t land the role for you, it is often your first introduction—it’s your calling card, your “first knock” on the doors of casting directors. A great headshot doesn’t just flatter; it tells a story. It captures your essence and communicates the kinds of roles you’re right for. It should open doors, spark interest, and speak for you before you even enter the room.

When you book a session with James, you’re not paying for time on the clock (a time premised session adds unnecessary pressure and is often counterproductive). You’re investing in a process and a product designed to support your acting career. Sessions are pressure-free and personalized, ensuring the best possible results.

YOUR INVESTMENT INCLUDES: THREE CONSULTATIONS

1. Pre-Session Consultation (15–20 min)

Held over phone or Zoom. This conversation covers your castable types, looks, goals, representation, hair/makeup, and wardrobe. We’ll begin to shape your vision and strategy.

Scheduled after a $100 non-refundable deposit is received.

2. Day-Of Consultation (20–30 min)

A one-on-one in-studio meeting with James prior to your shoot. You’ll review your Actors Access page (resume, clips, slate shots) and align on your current casting goals. This time is dedicated to building rapport, clarifying your vision, and establishing comfort—key ingredients for authentic, compelling headshots. The focus is on collaboration, not performance under pressure.

We aim to capture your most truthful and dynamic self across various looks—images that offer casting directors a range of possibilities and help you stay competitive. More than just photos, this session should leave you focused, confident, and ready to book.

3. Post-Session Consultation (15–30 min)

Conducted over Zoom, this is your final step. After narrowing your images down to 4–5 per look, James will provide expert input on composition, expression, technical quality, and storytelling power. Not every photo will be a winner—this session ensures you choose the most compelling shots. You’ll also be asked two essential questions:

1. How could the session have been improved?

2. What did you learn that will enhance your next shoot?

As artists, growth and humility are essential. We’re always learning.

• $425 – 2 looks (includes 2 professionally retouched images)

• $575 – 3 looks (includes 3 professionally retouched images)

• $699 – 4 looks (includes 4 professionally retouched images)

NON-MEMBERS

• $475 – 2 looks (includes 2 professionally retouched images)

• $625 – 3 looks (includes 3 professionally retouched images)

• $750 – 4 looks (includes 4 professionally retouched images)

ADD-ONS

• Additional retouching: $45/image

• Professional Slate Shots: $25 each (shot in headshot attire against a solid background)

• RAW images from session: $50 (all images are sent Free of Charge in JPEG format) 

• Hair & Makeup: inquire for rates

INTERACTIVE HEADSHOT SELECTION (via Zoom): $250

An optional hour and a half consultation (subject to availability). Together we will personally select and narrow down hundreds of shots to a handful of compelling options per look for your final review.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled session. Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email: info@jamesciccone.com

HEADSHOT SESSION PREP TIPS

• Wardrobe: Bring a variety of tops and layers. Avoid logos and overly busy patterns unless they add to your character storytelling. The more wardrobe options, the more we can play with.

• Character Looks: Think about the roles you’re targeting. Dress suggestively, not in costume. For example, a detective look may simply be a jacket with an open collar—versatile and usable across multiple submissions. Watch the TV shows you are targeting for wardrobe options. 

• Sleep: Rest well the night before. Fatigue shows on camera. But don’t stress—imperfections like acne or under-eye circles are easily addressed in retouching.

• Hydration: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your shoot to keep your skin looking vibrant.

• Hair & Grooming: Style your hair as you would for an audition. Get any haircuts a few days in advance.

• Mindset: Arrive relaxed and open. This is a creative space where your individuality matters. The goal is to have fun and create something honest and memorable.
